We are blessed to announce that our community is now home to, and the base of, Christian Orthodox Thyateira Youth (COTY) for North London. His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas, since the day of His enthronement as our Hierarch and Archpastor, has placed great emphasis on re-evangelising and reaching out to the young people of our Archdiocese.
Christian Orthodox Thyateira Youth has recently been established as a Ministry for Young People ages 16-35 (non-strictly).
His Grace Bishop Iakovos, alongside the clergy of North London, look forward to this new outreach not only focusing on young parishioners of St Barnabas and St Mary’s but an initiative that reaches out to all young people of North London. COTY North London organises events, talks, pilgrimages and charity work aiming to cultivate and support young members of the Archdiocese and all Orthodox young adults providing opportunities for personal development and community-building.
Within this framework our community has introduced a new series of talks – of a catechetical nature – titled ‘Understanding the Liturgical Life of the Church.’ We also look forward to our upcoming Christmas social evening ‘Sharing the joy of Christmas’ for the youth of North London.
