ΘΕΟΦΑΝΕΙΑ 2024
Με ιδιαίτερη λαμπρότητα εορτάστηκαν τα Άγια Θεοφάνεια στον Ιερό Καθεδρικό της Κοιμήσεως της Θεοτόκου, στο Wood Green. Κατά την παραμονή της εορτής τελέσθηκε η ακολουθία των Μεγάλων Ωρών, ο εσπερινός και η Θεία Λειτουργία του Μεγάλου Βασιλείου. Μετά το πέρας της Λειτουργίας ο Θεοφιλέστατος Επίσκοπος Κλαυδιουπόλεως κ. Ιάκωβος ετέλεσε τον Μέγα Αγιασμό.
Ανήμερα της εορτής, μέσα σε έναν κατάμεστο ναό, ο Αρχιερατικώς προϊστάμενος, Θεοφιλέστατος Επίσκοπος Κλαυδιουπόλεως κ. Ιάκωβος, χοροστάτησε του Όρθρου και προεξήρχε της Θείας Λειτουργίας.
Theophany 2024
On both the 5th (the Forefeast) and 6th of January, faithful Orthodox Christians of North London filled the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Wood Green, celebrating the revelation of the Holy and consubstantial Trinity through the Baptism of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. On the day of Theophany, His Grace Bishop Iakovos of Claudiopolis presided at Matins and celebrated the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, followed by the blessing of the waters. Through Christ’s Baptism, as St John Chrysostom writes, ‘He sanctifies the element of water. There let us all draw of the water and store it in our homes, because on this day the water is consecrated.’
